Q: Can I install The Aml Pages on more than one computer?
You may to install Aml Pages on more than one computer for home license.

Q: What happens once the license has expired? Data loss? Software does not run? Badly crippled? Still use it with all the features except no updates available?
License is lifetime, does not expire never. Free updates are available for 1 year after purchasing the license. The Aml Pages will always run. Your data will in consistency and accessible always.

You can install new versions, which released after date, when expire free updates for Your license.

If You want to install new updates after 1 year after license purchasing, then You need to renew the license.

In the case, You can use old version with old license or purchase 1 year free upgrades. Your choice!

Using Aml Pages


Q: I deleted important data from the Aml Pages. What am I gonna do now?
Use the Backup Explorer. Choose menu command "Tools\Backup Explorer".

Q: How to import data from TreePad into Aml Pages?
Solution #1: import from .hjt files
Aml Pages 9.61 or later supports import from TreePad files (*.hjt).
  1. Start the Aml Pages.
  2. Choose menu command "File\Import\File".
  3. Select TreePad file (*.hjt) on open dialog and press OK.

Solution #2: import from TreePad Business Edition (.tpd)
Use TreePad TPD Toolset by freebyte.com. It enables one to extract (export) all the articles/nodes from the binary .tpd file to an ASCII .hjt file.
  1. Use the TreePad TPD Toolset for export from .tpd file into .hjt file.
  2. Next follow instruction in solution#1.

Solution #3 : For import data from TreePad You need make two actions. Export subtree from TreePad to multiple files. Import this files into Aml Pages include directory structure.

    Step 1: Export subtree from TreePad
  1. Start the TreePad and open Your database.
  2. Choose menu command "File\Export\Subtree\To Files(s)".
  3. In screen "TreePad Export" choose option "Export To Multiple Files".
  4. Choose data type for export (HTML or Rich Text or Plain Text).
  5. Choose folder for export of data.
    Step 2: Import into Aml Pages
  1. Start the Aml Pages.
  2. Choose menu command "File\Import\Directory".
  3. On field "Folder" choose folder with exported files from TreePad.
  4. Check option "Recursive search" and option "Include directory tree in document".
  5. Press OK.

    For table resizing use richedit 6.0 library (this is the system library for text editor). This library available with Microsoft Offiice 2007 or download from here. Extract all DLL-files from ZIP-archive to Aml Pages directory (e.g. "C:\Program Files\Aml Pages").
      Enabling using of RichEdit 60
    1. Close all documents.
    2. Click on quick options button.
    3. Choose command "Use RichEdit 6.0" in context menu.
    Ok! You can resize table cells at mouse.
    
    Q: How to quick save text from clipboard?
    Use Aml Assist bar.
    1. Check menu item "Plugins\Aml Assist\Aml Assist Bar". You see bar of this plugin on desktop (screenshot).
    2. Right click on Aml Assist pane.
    3. Choose menu command "Insert Into New Sticky Note". This command will be save clipboard content as new node.
      4. OR
    4. Choose menu command "Add Text To Node". This command will be add clipboard content into exist node.

    • Right click for popup menu with frequently used commands.
    • Double click for expand\collapse text pane.
    • Command "Fix splitter": disallow moving of splitter at mouse.

    1. Exit from Aml Pages and Aml Assist pane.
    2. Extract all files from ZIP-archive into folder of the Aml Pages.
